After a full day of neurological testing to determine brain activity, the sobering results were negative. The last two tests of the day were an EEG and MRI of his brain which both confirmed there is no activity. Dan continues to rest peacefully aided by a ventilator to sustain his respiratory functions. Dan’s condition is still critical. He is in an induced coma to allow his body to heal. The primary focus with his care has been to stabilize his heart and respiratory functions. His heart is beating on its own, but he continues to rely on a ventilator for breathing.  His neurological functions are not responding [...]
